Adobe Creative Cloud media applications crash on Mac OS. When you try to launch Adobe Media Encoder, it crashes. When you export from Adobe Premiere Pro via File Export Media, it crashes. When you ingest media by pressing the Ingest button or by choosing File Ingest in Adobe Prelude, it crashes. This issue occurs on Mac OS X only.

To change the language on your Mac OS X system, do the following: Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu. Click Language & Text. Click the Language tab. In the Languages pane, drag your preferred language to the top of the list. Restart your computer or log out and log back in to apply the new language preference. The other important thing to note is that Office 2016 for Mac only works with OS X 10.10 Yosemite or higher – it does not work with OS X 10.9 Mavericks or lower so make sure you are definitely running OS X 10.10 Yosemite, OS X 10.11 El Capitan, macOS Sierra 10.12 or macOS 10.13 High Sierra before proceeding.

A fix for Acrobat Reader crash on launch problems

This would probably be alot more helpful (!) if I added the following:
The Acrobat Reader crashing, actually happened after seemingly 'losing' my Accounts panel in System Preferences. I applied another hint provided here at macosxhints, and deleted
~(home directory)/Library/Caches/com.apple.preferencepanes.cache
which restored my Accounts panel.
Strangely, that cache file must have been the only place my language settings were stored, in terms of explaining my troubleshooting & resolution.

I was having the same problem with the full version of Acrobat -- changing the order of languages in the International control panel and then changing it back fixed it.

osx_4me, u_r_a god! This problem has plagued me for weeks, and has stumped all the tech people here. After reloading the software from scratch didnt work, they kinda gave up. I think I'm pretty smart, but I would never have thought of your solution in a million years! Needless to say, it worked perfectly. What a weird glitch- no info on Apple about this either. Mind if I call you direct next time I have a problem!?!? Thanks again!
